SMaRT Workshops
This May 29-30, there is a great introductory mini-workshop on Family-based Analyses https://smart-workshops.com/family-info
The course content is specifically tailored to child developmentalists!
The goal of the workshop is to give child developmentalists the tools to enhance the inferential power of non-experimental research projects by harnessing the inherent power of family relationships. Family data can make it possible, for example, to rule-out family confounds in your conclusions and to determine if a given association between a predictor and an outcome is indeed environmental in origin. Perhaps not surprisingly then, family members have been embedded in most large-scale publicly available databases (e.g., ABCD, AdHealth, and others), large scale pedigree data in the US and elsewhere, and most family-based studies collected in the field of Child Development.
For those who enroll, you get to attend the workshop live as well as have access to the videos and course materials in perpetuity. That means you can return to rewatch and review as often as is needed.
Trainees get 33% off the regular price, and those living/working in low/middle income countries get 90% off.
