Pediatric Psychology, University of South Florida

The USF Division of Child Development (Department of Pediatrics, Morsani College of Medicine) is accepting applications for one full-time, one-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology services. The training emphasis is on screening and interventions with a focus on parent management training for caregivers of children ages 0-12 years with varying medical disorders, developmental disabilities and behavioral disorders. The services are mostly in-person, but some telehealth services are required. The psychology fellow will become certified in the HOT DOCS and DOCS K-5 parent training interventions and as part of these interventions will have opportunities for advocacy within the school system to support patients’ rights and needs. Fellows with prior experience in behavioral interventions, parent training, behavioral health screening, working on an interdisciplinary team will have the opportunity to gain additional experience and training with pediatric medical populations. The fellow will have an opportunity to complete a research or scholarly project in HOT DOCS/DOCS K-5, brief behavioral interventions, or a relevant area of their choosing.  We have bilingual and bicultural staff, and we provide opportunities to work with children and families who are bilingual in Spanish.

Eligibility: Completion of a doctoral degree in clinical, school or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited or APPIC program, and an APA-accredited or APPIC predoctoral internship working with children/adolescents by August 30, 2026. Candidates should be committed to serving an underserved population and training in culturally appropriate care consistent with MCOM.
Benefits: Stipend of $63,500 plus benefits that include health insurance, vacation and sick time.
