Assistant Professor Position in Developmental Psychology at Lehigh University

The Department of Psychology at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology. We seek to hire a scholar specializing in Developmental Psychology, and the area of research expertise is open. Although the research area is open, we seek candidates who can create research synergies with already existing faculty in the developmental area and across the department, and with the research themes identified as part of Lehigh’s 2023 Strategic Plan. The position will begin in Fall 2025.

Candidates must have earned their PhD in Psychology or directly related field by the date of employment.

We seek qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Candidates will be expected to maintain a high-quality and productive research program that will attract external funding; to provide high-quality teaching and research mentorship at both the undergraduate and graduate level; and to demonstrate a strong commitment to creating an inclusive environment and promoting the success of students from groups that have been traditionally underrepresented or marginalized in academia.

The Department of Psychology is part of the College of Arts and Sciences and includes 18 faculty in the areas of cognitive, social, developmental, and clinical psychology.  Founded in 1865, Lehigh University has combined outstanding academic and learning opportunities with leadership in fostering innovative research.
