Waxman Lab, Infant and Child Development Center, Northwestern University
The Infant and Child Development Center – ICDC at Northwestern University (Waxman Lab) is seeking applications for an NSF-funded postdoctoral fellow. The postdoc will participate as a full collaborator, working within a dynamic, interactive lab team. Candidates should be deeply engaged in questions concerning the early acquisition of language, cognition and the links between them. Research experience with infants and toddlers, and/or a keen interest in developmental cognitive neuroscience are beneficial, but not required.
The postdoc will take the lead on NSF-funded studies on links between language and conceptual representations in 7- to 12-month-old infants.
The postdoc will also have ample opportunity to initiate new collaborations, investigating language and cognition in infants and/or young children.
Strong technical and data analytic expertise is required.
A completed Ph.D. in Psychology, Linguistics, Computer Science, Cognitive Science or related field is required.

Salary is based on the NSF Post-doctoral scale, and funding is available
for up to two-years (appointments are for one year, but renewable for two years, based on progress/merit).
