Cognition Across Development Lab, Boston University
Dr. Tara Mandalaywala is looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join the Cognition Across Development Lab (https://www.thecadlab.org/) at Boston University, with a flexible start date of late spring/early summer 2025.
Research in the CAD Lab examines socio-cognitive development across early and middle childhood, with the goal of clarifying how basic cognitive and conceptual processes interact with children’s environments and lead children to form beliefs about the people and the world around them. Much of the ongoing research in the CAD Lab explores the development and consequences of children’s awareness of social inequities (e.g., interpersonal and structural racism, disparities in social mobility, etc.).
She is seeking applicants whose research broadly aligns with the work being done in the CAD lab, especially those who are interested in work examining the development and consequences of children’s beliefs about: social status, social mobility, social inequities, and/or social essentialism.
This position will provide opportunities for collaboration, publication, and substantive career mentoring, all within the vibrant Developmental Science community at BU. The postdoctoral fellow will have opportunities to collect and analyze data, write papers and grants, obtain mentoring from faculty, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students to advance their research program.
