The Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for a tenure-track position (Open Area of Specialization; Assistant Professor level) to begin August 1, 2025.
We seek someone to join an active and collaborative research department. Candidates must hold or anticipate a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field by August 1, 2025. The Department of Psychology consists of 25 full-time faculty and offers a BA and BS in psychology, including Disciplinary Honors, an MA in experimental psychology, and a PhD in developmental, cognitive, social, and clinical psychology (see http://psy.uncg.edu for more information).
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in research methods and statistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should also be able to provide rich research experiences for our students. Candidates should show evidence of a strong, independent research program and should demonstrate potential to secure external funding. An ideal candidate would complement areas of interest in the department.

3. A research statement (up to 1500 words) on the applicant’s past research and future research goals if selected for the position.
4. A teaching statement (up to 1000 words) that includes their teaching and mentoring style, courses they would be prepared and excited to teach, and the candidate’s experience or perspective on teaching and mentoring the UNCG student population.
5. Up to 3 representative publications.
