Department of Psychology, Colorado State University

 

The Department of Psychology at Colorado State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in both teaching and research. We welcome candidates with a wide range of research expertise in human neuroscience. Candidates should be able to teach undergraduate and graduate level coursework in biological psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and specialty courses related to their area of research.

Required qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field, or anticipation of completion of a Ph.D. in one of these fields by 8/1/2025
  • Candidates must be appropriate for the Assistant Professor rank
  • An active research program in human neuroscience and psychology
Preferred qualifications:
  • Evidence of an active, high quality research program with clear potential for establishing an independent laboratory
  • A clear and consistent record of publication using neuroscience tools
  • Experience in undergraduate instruction and mentoring in neuroscience-related topics (e.g., cognitive neuroscience)
  • Experience in graduate instruction and mentoring in neuroscience-related topics (e.g., cognitive neuroscience)
  • Evidence of the capability to obtain external research funding
  • Evidence of interdisciplinary research
  • Ability to advance the University’s commitment to diversity, social justice and inclusion
  • Post-doctoral research experience
