WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS, Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences — Multiple positions in Lifespan Development, and Memory & Cognition, at the Assistant or Associate level. The Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis is embarking on an ambitious, multi-year hiring initiative seeking to build clusters of international distinction across multiple areas of Psychological & Brain Sciences. For the 2024-25 academic year, we invite applications for tenure-track/tenured faculty appointments in Memory & Cognition (2) and Lifespan Development (2) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, to begin in the fall semester of 2025. The primary qualifications for these positions are excellence in empirical research and teaching. We construe both of these areas of interest broadly, and we are particularly interested in identifying potential clusters of collaborating researchers. We will prioritize applications from those whose research programs have the potential to integrate with current research at Washington University and to take advantage of our unique resources.

 A Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment. Applicants at the level of Assistant Professor should have evidence of an exciting program of research and teaching promise. Applicants at the level of Associate Professor should have evidence of an international reputation in the field, sustained research impact, excellent teaching, and a robust record of external research funding. Duties will include conducting research, writing for publication, teaching assigned courses, advising students, participating in department governance, and university service.
