Brain and Language

I am Dr. Arturo E. Hernandez at University of Houston, USA writing to you as an Executive Guest Editor to invite you to contribute to a special issue I am organizing for the Elsevier title Brain and Language (CiteScore: 4.5 / Impact Factor: 2.1).

Entitled ‘Cognitive Processing in Bilinguals (30 Years Later)’, this special issue will feature papers on a chapter from Cognitive Processing in Bilinguals, discussing its ongoing influence on the field and how some concepts may have evolved since their original presentation. This special issue is part of a collaborative special issue between Journal of Neurolinguistics and Brain and Language. You can read the full special issue scope here.

We have chosen this topic as a fitting theme for a special issue due to its growing significance. We believe that such a comprehensive overview of the latest research will define the leading edge and centralize our understanding of the advances in the field, ultimately benefiting the community.

If your submission is accepted for review, it will be evaluated by at least two independent researchers who are experts in this topic. However, please note that the paper may still be desk-rejected if it does not meet the journal’s scope or guidelines. Elsevier uses early detection tools to ensure all papers in this special issue meet the highest ethical standards.

Brain and Language supports both open access and subscription articles. If you would like to publish open access, information on the article publishing charge (APC) can be found on the journal homepage.

Given your experience in the field, I do hope you will consider submitting an article. If you are unable to contribute at this time, please share this invitation with your network.

The deadline for submissions is 31 December 2024. Read more about this special issue and how to submit.
