We are happy to announce that, after a pause last year, the 9th Lancaster International Conference on Infant and Early Child Development (LCICD 2025) will be held in Lancaster, UK on 27-29 August, 2025.
Call for Abstracts
We are inviting abstract submissions for talk or poster presentations. As before, the conference is single-track, with high visibility poster sessions in their own designated time slots, and an excellent communal spirit in which everyone from early-career PhD students to senior researchers has 2.5 days of lively interactions.
Abstract submission deadline: 25 April 2025
Keynote speakers:
Diane Poulin-Dubois, Concordia University
Karen Adolph, New York University
Judit Gervain, University of Padua & CNRS, Paris
Abstracts should be up to 400 words long. We invite abstract submissions from all areas of infant and early child development (age range: pre-natal – 4 years). Full details can be found on the conference website http://wp.lancs.ac.uk/lcicd/ .
The conference will run from Wednesday 27 August to Friday 29 August 2025 early afternoon UK time. It will focus on research in infant and early child development and reflect the breadth of methods used in this field. Once again we aim to bring together scientists across all career stages, and as every time there is a poster category of ’no-results posters’ in which early career scientists can present their ongoing or planned work for discussion with experts in the field.
Lancaster can be easily reached from Manchester airport, or by train from London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and other destinations.

Hoping to see you in Lancaster in August 2025!
