We are thrilled to announce that the 27th Annual Black Graduate Conference in Psychology (BGCP) will be hosted at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia from June 17th to June 20th, 2025!

BGCP has long been a supportive and intimate space for fostering community, mentorship, and scholarly exchange among graduate students in psychology and related fields. We can’t wait to welcome you to Richmond for this special opportunity to connect with, grow, and celebrate your scholarship.
Save the Date and Start Your Submissions! The conference submission portal will open soon, and we will follow up with an announcement once it is live. In the meantime, we encourage you to begin preparing your submissions.
- Submission Deadline: April 11, 2025
- Presentation Formats: Paper Presentations and Poster Presentations
Submission Guidelines:
- Abstract: Abstracts should be no more than 2,000 characters (including spaces), clearly articulating theresearch questions, methods, and findings.
- Title: Titles should be limited to 100 characters (including spaces).
- Formatting: No tables or graphs should be included in the abstract.
- Co-authors: While papers may have co-authors, only the presenting student will be invited to attend the conference. Co-authors must be properly credited in the PDF of the abstract.
- Paper vs. Poster Preference: During submission, students can indicate whether they prefer to present their abstract as a paper, a poster, or are open to either format. Please note that due to limited slots, some papers may be accepted as posters.
- Submission Limit: Students may submit only one proposal (poster or paper presentation).
