Cultural Psychology, Frontiers in Psychology

Call for Associate Editors

I have recently accepted a Specialty Chief Editor position for the Cultural Psychology section in Frontiers in Psychology. As you may know, the journal is currently indexed in SSCI (Journal Citation Report in Web of Science) with a Q2 ranking and an impact factor of 2.6. While its reputation has faced some serious challenges during the pandemic, I am eager to lead the effort to re-establish its standing in the field of Cultural Psychology. The Cultural Psychology Section has a 16.6% acceptance rate in 2024. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychology/sections/cultural-psychology

The Associate Editor(s) will be expected to work with the Specialty Chief Editor and the Frontiers editorial team to ensure high-quality peer review and the timely and accurate delivery of manuscripts for publication. The Associate Editors will be responsible for soliciting, reviewing editing, and recommending decisions on submissions to the journal, and will manage all aspects of the publication and review process, receiving assistance from Frontiers’ Peer Review team on the operational aspect. To maintain a sustainable workload, Associate Editors are welcome to accept no more than one manuscript assignment per quarter. Associate Editors can reject submissions at any stage of the review process.

Should you have any colleagues who are interested in joining our Editorial Board as Associate Editor:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field, with a strong scholarly record in cultural/cross-cultural/multicultural psychology. Experience in editorial leadership roles (associate editor or editorial board member) and editorial experience (e.g., ad hoc reviewer) are highly valued. Applicants should also possess strong organizational and management skills, the ability to work well with others, and a commitment to open-access publishing. Emerging scholars (within 10 years of completing their Ph.D.) and scholars from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.

Please send a CV and a letter of interest to me (Fanli Jia) fanli.jia@shu.edu.
