Dr. Daniel Ansari, recipient of the 2026 Pickering Award

Congratulations to Dr. Daniel Ansari, the 2026 Pickering Award winner! Please save the date: Dr. Ansari will deliver the Pickering Lecture on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 at Development 2026 (Westin, Montreal). This event will be in-person and open to the public.

Dr. Ansari is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning in the Department of Psychology and the Brain & Mind Institute at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, where he heads the Numerical Cognition Laboratory (www.numericalcognition.org). Ansari and his team explore the developmental trajectory underlying both the typical and atypical development of numerical and mathematical skills, using both behavioral and neuroimaging methods.
