Pickering Centre for Research in Human Development and Canada Psychological Association

We are less than three months away from Development 2026, our long-anticipated conference to be held at the Westin Montreal on June 2nd and 3rd, immediately prior to the CPA Annual Convention at the same site.
Decision notices have now been distributed. If you or someone you know submitted an abstract but didn’t hear from us, please send a message to info@pickeringcentre.org.
Registration is now open. We are offering an “early bird” rate for registrations completed on or before April 3rd. Participants registering for Development 2026 are also eligible for a 10% discount off their CPA registration, if you attend both conferences.
The program is being built. Our team is working to assemble the many symposia and lightning talk sessions into two packed days of the best developmental science research Canada has to offer. We will make the full program available for viewing well in advance of the conference, but likely not before mid-April.
Join us for dinner. We have secured a reservation at Escondite Drummond, a popular restaurant and event space in Montreal that’s within about a 20-minute walk of the Westin hotel. We can accommodate up to 200 people for dinner, so spaces are limited and we encourage you to complete your registration and purchase dinner at your earliest opportunity.
Students, sign up for the mentoring lunch. The Developmental section of the CPA is sponsoring this year’s mentoring lunch, an event for students to share a complimentary meal with a senior developmental scholar. These lunches are small groups, so spaces are limited and we are assigning seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
