Pickering Centre for Research in Human Development
Planning is underway for Development 2026, our conference to be held on June 2nd and 3rd at the Westin hotel in Montreal, in partnership with the Canadian Psychological Association. Some brief updates are available on the conference website (https://pickeringcentre.org/conference/), including deadlines and a list of submission formats we will be accepting. The most important information right now is as follows:
Submission Formats and Abstracts
Development 2026 will be open for submissions beginning on December 1st and closing on January 31st, 2026. Abstracts will be accepted for three presentation formats: (1) Symposia, 90-minute sessions composed of 4 research talks (or 3 talks plus a discussant); (2) Lightning talks, 5-minute individual presentations grouped into sessions of 10-12 talks; and (3) Posters, free-standing visual presentations in 90-minute open format sessions appropriate for one-on-one discussions.
Accommodations
Development 2026 has set aside a very limited number of rooms at the Westin Hotel at the special conference rate of $279 per night, negotiated by the CPA. Book your accommodations as early as possible to secure your room at the group rate: https://convention.cpa.ca/accommodations/
